About the Project Utilization Registry
The Carbon Offset Registry provides access to detailed utilization records for listed projects through the associated links. These records demonstrate how carbon credits from each project have been utilized. The listings specifically include:
- Date of utilization
- Name of the utilizing organization
- Purpose of utilization
- Identification number of the carbon credits
- Verification that the carbon units have been permanently retired from circulation
This system ensures that double counting (multiple utilization) is prevented and that the authentic, one-time validation of carbon credits can be transparently tracked.
